Quetta to Face No Power Load Shedding for One Week Amid Severe Cold

In a major relief for residents, a decision has been taken to suspend electricity load shedding in Quetta for one week due to the intensifying cold weather, aiming to provide comfort to citizens during harsh winter conditions.

According to officials, the Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) made the decision in response to plummeting temperatures and increasing public complaints. The suspension of load shedding will apply not only to Quetta but also to cold regions across Makran Division, Sibi, and Naseerabad.

A QESCO spokesperson stated that all necessary arrangements have been finalized to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply during this period. The company has also assured that immediate action will be taken in case of any emergency situation.

It is worth noting that record-breaking cold weather in Quetta has significantly increased hardships for residents, as electricity and gas load shedding during freezing temperatures had worsened daily life. The temporary suspension is expected to provide much-needed relief to households during the peak winter spell.
