Gold prices in Pakistan retreated on Tuesday, following a downward trend in the international market.
In local trading, the per tola price dropped by Rs. 1,900, settling at Rs. 441,862, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association. The rate for 10-gram gold also declined by Rs. 1,629, bringing it to Rs. 378,825.
📉 Prices had risen the previous day
On Monday, gold had made a short upward move, climbing by Rs. 1,600 per tola to reach Rs. 443,762 before reversing direction today.
🌍 International market trend
Globally, the metal slipped by $19, with international prices recorded at $4,195 per ounce, inclusive of a $20 premium. The pullback comes as investors react to shifting market indicators and await US economic data.
🥈 Silver market remains steady
Unlike gold, silver prices held firm at Rs. 6,102 per tola, showing no change for the day.
